Trap Me

What can I do when you trap me against the wall?

I cry out in pain but that doesn’t stop you at all.

I slide to the ground - you tore me right down,

‘Cause in your eyes I’m nothing, nothing at all.

It’s a jungle, I know, and you think I’m a predator,

And nothing I do can change your mind.

So you hunt me and catch me and kill me and gut me.

My heart falls right out to the floor.

The days have grown hotter and the nights become colder.

The lions are hungry and the wolves have grown bolder.

So you hunt me and catch me and stab me and gut me.

My heart falls right out to the floor.

And I’m running.  I’m hiding.  I’m running, whoa.

I’m running, I’m hiding, and I’m barely surviving.

What can I do when you trap me against the wall?

I cry out in pain but that doesn’t stop you at all.

Slide to the ground - you tore me right down.

My heart falls right out to the floor.
